The BVL Campus: an inspiring and vibrant place where the idea of lifelong learning comes alive. The BVL Campus is home of three institutions: the School of International Business and Supply Chain Management (Hochschule für Internationale Wirtschaft und Logistik (HIWL)), the German Foreign Trade & Logistics Academy (Deutsche Außenhandels-und Verkehrs-Akademie (DAV)), and the BVL Seminars division.
These three institutions use different teaching methods to focus on the following subject areas:
The BVL Campus was established by BVL at Bremen University’s Technology Park in 2008. Situated on the River Weser, the Hanseatic City of Bremen is one of the most important foreign trade and logistics locations in Germany. The major ports of Bremerhaven, Hamburg and Wilhelmshaven are close by, and Bremen is home to long-established and world-renowned trading companies, as well as leading-edge research centres.
The BVL Campus offers a wide range of educational opportunities, from initial professional training at the HIWL through continuing education at the DAV to compact courses for working professionals. All areas of the Campus take a consistently practical approach, enjoying close links with numerous partner companies in the fields of logistics services, industry, and trade.
The Campus also operates an open-door policy: its diverse international links, open days, and stadium generale lectures make it a forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience beyond courses and seminars. Last but not least, BVL International provides a network of business and science experts which benefits both the students on the Campus and the companies involved.
